I began my career as a packaging designer at General Mills food company, working on brands such as Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, and Totino's pizza. I eventually transitioned to a role as a Product Design Coach where I consulted product development teams on how to utilize user research in developing new products, some of which you may have in your pantry! In 2015 I took a position with Honeywell as a UX Researcher. While at Honeywell I deepened my research craft, expanded my skillset into UX Design, and have become a leader on our UX Design team. In 2018 Honeywell spun off it's residential business into a new company called Resideo where I have served as the Design Strategist for Security Products. 

Currently I manage a team of UX designers & work on our UX Strategy across multiple lines of business. I continue to be the business facing partner for our Safety & Security Products business by collaborating on program requirements, UX Architecture, product and application strategy. I take a servant leadership mindset to my role and believe in the situational leadership model as a manager. My job is to ensure all our designs are driving toward a consistent and 5-star end-to-end experience as well as help our business leverage design strategically to drive new customer value. My goal is to serve my team so that they may become stronger designers, achieve things together that they could not alone, and leave everyday with pride in their work and career.

When I'm not working I like to find projects to keep the creative juices flowing, as well as the adrenaline! I'm a self taught welder, lover of bicycles, amateur leather worker, and inner-city ranch manager (My wife and I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 ducks... as of now)
